Did someone call for a diva? Dolly Parton sparkles on the red carpet as she turns rock chick in her bejewelled leather creation

It was a night where the world's biggest music divas gathered together to sing their hearts out and raise money for a good cause.
And of course, the night wouldn't have been complete without country music's biggest diva and philanthropist Dolly Parton.
And while she might have been surrounded by younger female stars, Miss Parton gave them a run for her money as she showed off her inner rock chick.

Dolly, who turns 66 next month, looked her usual sensational self as she arrived at the VH1 Divas Celebrates Soul at Hammerstein Ballroom in New York City last night.

The C&W star showed off a bejewelled leather creation as she posed for the cameras and larked about on the red carpet.
She wore the funky top over leggings and teamed it with knee high black boots, big hair and an even bigger smile.

Dolly was one of the performers at last night's event for Save The Music Foundation, now in its 15th year, which attempts to save and restore music education in schools.
This year's concert was aimed at helping schools in cities such as Chicago, Detroit, London and Memphis that helped create or contributed to soul music.
Dolly also sang on the night, performing a duet with Queen Latifah, who looked stunning in a Edition by Georges Chakra custom made blue crepe mermaid gown.

Other performers on the night included Jennifer Hudson, who showed off her ever-shrinking frame, Jessie J, Florence Welch from Florence and the Machine, Mary J. Blige, Estelle and Kelly Clarkson.
This year, Dolly released her 41st studio album Better Day, which she took on tour around the world, spending almost a month in the UK from August to September.
And proving that she still oozes sex appeal more than 50 years after she hit the music scene, she was named in the Men's Health magazine's 100 Hottest Women of All Time List at number 92.
